Week 2 - Blogging: Setting up my own blog and adding my first post.

It wasn't that hard to do this, even though I must have done something wrong the first time I tried to post something. I typed about 5 paragraphs about my home life, family, etc. and then I hit "Publish Post" but no post of that was to be found anywhere. So I am thinking maybe I did not hit the "Save Now" button before I did that (if it keeps autosaving the draft though, wouldn't something be saved somewhere that I could find it???) Anyway, I re-posted the 5 huge paragraphs about my life at home and the kids........come to find out that was not what I was supposed to be posting about on my blog. It was what we thought of each week's lesson.......I guess if nothing else, that made me just learn at least one or two things just from that........to read directions and pay attention! So things seem a little easier for me on how to get around this program every time I log on and spend more time exploring around. It was pretty easy to register my blog as well. I am looking forward to digging into Flickr next week! To be continued.....

Week 1 - Exploring, About this Program & Lifelong learning habits

When I first heard about having to do all of this "homework" when we were at this workshop, my first reaction was thinking "Do we HAVE to do this?" My first thought was how much work I have already waiting for me when I get back to my desk!! I was thinking about how much it would suck having to deal with one more thing on my plate that I was responsible for. Talk about negative, lazy and no motivation!!!
SO - trying to not completely fall into that category, I wanted to start this course with a positive attitude from the get go and make the best out of it. Besides, who will it really benefit anyway besides moi? And ya know, if they are having us do this on work time, I guess it must be beneficial in some way for our jobs too! In a nutshell, those are my thoughts about this program as of now. I am sure by the end of the 10 weeks my outlook will be quite different.
As far as Lifelong Learning............I have always been one of those and always will be, like it or not. Everything in life is constantly changing and with that it requires learning.......always!
